Blogging circle is developing

The idea for a blogging circle is developing quickly, thanks to the nudge that Matthew Taylor provided earlier today. We’ve already got some really interesting bloggers volunteering. I’ll keep updating the list here.

The next steps are to:

  1. setup the basic website so that we’re transparent and open to all
  2. invite more bloggers to join (any nominations gratefully appreciated). I think we need about 30 before we can launch formally
  3. plan the launch activities

If you’d like to get involved, leave a comment here and I’ll email you straight back.

Currently expressed an interest:

  1. Mike Chitty, Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in the Community
  2. Matthew Taylor, the RSA

  2. Hi Matthew,

Thanks for your invitation; I would definitely be interested in joining the club.

My only reservation is about whether I will actually be able to keep up. In about two weeks time I am about to move to a job in France, so i have no idea how such a big change will impact my blogging.

Hopefully I’ll be able to serve the niche market that is interested in comparing British/French forms of Social Democracy…!

  3. Sure thing, am in – however I am not completely sure that I would ever write enough posts: sometimes I am prolific, sometimes I simply ahve nothing to say! For weeks! I know, amazingly hard to believe.

Might be quite interesting though to spice it up with older posts that could do with re-airing…

    Dunno, but yes, interested

Its a good idea, consider interest duly expressed. This might nudge a few more blogs out of my head and onto the page. Let me know what next…

Very up for this, Matt ( and hello, after all these years). I am a twice a week kind of blogger at the moment, but still haven’t dared to click the ‘make this public’ switch yet!

As self styled leader of the Pet Dogs Democratic Party this sounds like a great idea. Not all my ramblings are political in nature, but many of them are. Count me in.

I’d like to join too. Do I have to do anything other than to keep on blogging?

  13. Hello Matthew – could you include Shiraz Socialist as well? Ta.

  15. Only just stumbled across this – thereby demonstrating Matthew’s point about how long ideas can take to permeate. I’m interested, count me in.

    Matthew,

I’d also like to join. My main blog is a professional one looking at HR / Human Capital Management issues in business (http://strategic-hcm.blogspot.com), but I’m also currently in the process of restarting one looking more generally at society based issues in organisations and more generally as well (http://competitive-society.com/blog.html) and would like to use this one in the circle.
