Five bloggers have joined the Bloggers Circle and I’d like to briefly introduce them all.
Studs Up is written by Liverpool fan Geoff Wright. Its football focussed but Geoff promises to be “reasonably impartial yet interesting”. You will come across phrases such as “Studs Up has definitely been an area in which evapotranspiration outweighs precipitation” and least likely to read an analysis of Liverpool’s midweek defeat to Fiorentina.
Bracknell Blog offers “debate and comment relating to Bracknell in Berkshire and the surrounding areas”. You will read about the race to replace Andrew Mackay as the local MP, the fallout from local council leader Paul Bettinson missing out on the Tory shortlist, and the regeneration of the area. You are unlikely to read about the activities of the local Labour Party.
The World of JR promises constant jealousy for such a good name as well as an eclectic mix: “JR’s world of Elections, Radio Shows, Cricket, Student Unions, NUS, Politics and other random stuff”. JR has been blogging since late 2007 and whilst you may read posts such as 14 Reasons Why The Right are Unhappy with David Cameron … and How They’re Wrong you would do well to find the post ’14 Reasons Why the England Cricket team are good at One Day Internationals’.
Constantly Furious describes the blog as ‘Humour, ranting, UK politics, society’. The blog has been running for just over 5 months and has already catapulted into the Total Politics Libertarian top 20 . Provocative statements include: “Nick Robinson, BBC Reporter, Labour Lickspittle and Brown worshipper, had gone along for the ride.”
Terry Freedman’s blog is accurately named Educational Technology – ICT in Education. It is aimed at educators who use, teach, lead or manage educational technology, or information and communications technology. Terry promises “we only publish work by people who know what they’re talking about through experience”.
Each, in their own way, will bring new insights and expertise – as well as contributing to the liveliness of debate on the Bloggers Circle. Welcome, all.
